This means a massive closure of businesses and shops in the given municipalities for a period. Schenker is a socially critical actor, and we must ensure that we can maintain sound operations in this situation. The situation that has arisen means that many people cannot receive goods that are to be delivered by us. It is therefore very important that you as a customer with us have an overview of who is affected by this closure, and do not send goods to them during this period.
This will affect our operations. We will do our best to maintain our service offers, but discrepancies may occur. Time window deliveries will not be completed in the current situation, but we will strive to deliver as normally as possible. Home deliveries with carry-in will be carried out to the door, not inside the door.
We have limited capacity to store goods that cannot be delivered, so return of goods may be necessary. Additional costs will have to be expected.
This is a difficult situation for all parties and we will do our best to secure our network and deliver the goods as far as possible. If you have questions or need clarification, please contact our customer center or your sales representatives.
Sincerely, your Schenker team.
